How Utopia can be the most secure ecosystem in the future?

Utopia ecosystem explained in simple terms.
At present, the internet is used for everything, Social media, communication and messages, web surfing, and many more, nothing is secure online. Many companies recently have reported for tracking our data and leaking it or using it for marketing. Private companies and governments can access our data. Privacy has just remained a word now.
At present, Our situation is like “The Internet knows more than what you know about yourself.”
So the question is: whether there a way through which we can be secure and maintain our privacy while using the internet daily?
Is there a way through which we can be anonymous and untraceable by others?
Here Utopia comes into the picture. In this article You will know about what is utopia, How can it be used, what is its advantage over absolute internet, how secure utopia ecosystem is, how to download, and use it…

What is Utopia?
Utopia ecosystem is the future of internet. It is a decentralized peer-to-peer network (P2P), through which you can communicate, send messages, chats, mail, create channels, and many more in an encrypted environment.
You can download Utopia for Windows, Mac, and Linux from here. (Android, iOS versions are under development and expected to launch before the end of 2020 )

Utopia is not just an application or website, it is a complete ecosystem which is developed for secure and encryption enabled applications like Idyll browser (a secure web browser), Crypton (Utopia’s decentralized cryptocurrency), uMail (Encrypted mail), uWallet and more.
It is designed for true anonymity, and gives total control over your data.
Who developed utopia and how to create a Utopia account?
Utopia was developed by networking tech enthusiasts over the past 6 years. Nobody knows who is the creator and developers of Utopia and said to remain anonymous forever.
NOTE: Utopia is not open-source. According to the developers, when utopia is completed code cannot be altered by anyone and protected by advanced encryption. This is to ensure the safety of this ecosystem and there is no harm in it.
Utopia Mission
Utopia will be a virtual self-regulating society whose mission is to preserve the values of humanity and lead a foundation to the technological era.
Basic working overview
Generally it stores all data in the system where it is installed and doesn’t have a core/ central server. Hence it is secure and data remains with the user itself.
Creating an account in Utopia Network
- Download and run the application.
- Create a new account and enter Nickname/first, last names (optional); If a name is entered, it will be visible for your authorized contacts.
- Click the “Next” button.
- Now an Encrypted container will be created, which will be created on your computer. Take a note of the path. Now you can use utopia services such as uMail, uWallet, Idyll browser, uNS, and data of these services will be stored in that encrypted container. Make sure the entered password during container creation must be strong and store it in a safe place.
NOTE: If the password is lost, you cannot recover your account, it is a permanent loss of your utopia account. - Click the “Next” button
- Check out the user interface and information on mining. By default, mining is enabled. You may disable it by unchecking the “enable mining” checkbox. Click the “Finish” button.
Your Utopia account has been created successfully.
Utopia services currently available

1. uMessenger – Unlike other messaging apps, this also enables the user to send a message or chat with other users from the contact list. On the right side dashboard, You can see people names from your saved contacts, online view.

Now, It even supports dark mode and stickers while chatting. You can see the unread messages on utopia icon in the taskbar. You can attach files by clicking on “IM” button in the menu bar and send file.

2. Idyll browser – It is a built-in browser in a utopia application that is used for surfing the web resources. Idyll browser is based on the TOR browser which is quite famous for anonymity and it includes some important patches to create a secure network.
Starting the Idyll browser: select “Tools” → “Idyll Browser“

3. uMail – uMail is a great alternative to classical e-mail. It uses encryption to all the files and messages that are sent via mail. Therefore it is secure and can’t be accessed by others. It has all features as e-mail. The difference in uMail and other mailing services is that, when you send a mail to others through the mail, it is stored in the server of that company like Gmail, but in the case of uMail the message sent is stored in the outbox and when the user comes online, the message is delivered.
Opening uMail in a new tab: click “uMail” > “Open In Tab” at the menu bar.

4. uWallet – Utopia uses a unique cryptocurrency for payments and transactions called Crypton. Crypton can be stored in a secure digital wallet known as uWallet and also be mined through the application. You can make transactions, receive cryptons, get reward points, enable uVouchers and crypto cards for business transactions. Note: No transactions can be reversed.
Opening uWallet: Click on “uWallet” in the menu bar. Select “Open uWallet” and now you can view the wallet tab.

You can view the statistics of transaction history and mining. Until you stay online and mining is enabled, you will receive mining rewards, but there are minimum requirements for your device to start mining and additional features like mining bots.
Minimum requirements to mine Crypton are:
- 64-bit operating system
- At least 4GB of free RAM
- Minimum 4 cores CPU
- Public IP address and high-quality internet connection is required

5. uNS and Hosting – uNS is similar to a traditional DNS and it is governed by international laws. Domain names can be registered as uNS and hosted in a secure hosting services. Hosting a website using uNS and utopia enables the data and privacy to be stored confidentially. All other resources like video streaming, downloading files, and software can also be done using this service.

Key points for using Utopia over other services.
As you know that social networks like Facebook, twitter, google use their servers to store our uploaded data. Whereas in the case of Utopia, the uploaded data stores in your hard disk with complete encryption.
- Encrypted data – Data is turned into machine language such that even if another person gets it, it can’t be accessed.
- Safe and Secure – Due to no interruption from 3rd party services to be stable and safe.
- P2P connection – Decentralized peer-to-peer connections enable no tracking and zero failure rate.
- Data privacy – No one can collect or have your data except you.
- Storing the data locally in your system storage, can store even the history and last saved settings.
- No company or organization can ban this system from the internet.
Conclusion
You might have used as software called uTorrent to download games or movies, this is also an example of a peer-to-peer network where there is no central server. Hence, they couldn’t track the initial user who shared the file through torrent. Similarly Utopia ecosystem uses p2p but it uses advanced technology compared to torrent and other systems.
It is secure and not affected by viruses or malware due to its closed environment. But this leads to many questions such as developers of this system and the risk of using it. From my point of view, it is a great step forward by a community to move forward in creating a new society where privacy is considered as the highest priority, and data will not be sold to the companies so that they make a profit out of it.
Some people would object that they don’t care about their data to be sold or leaked but you will understand when cybercrimes increases, your bank details and personal details are leaked. So, it is better to encourage the development of making a system that we can trust and the only person you would trust the most is yourself.
